Michael Schumacher is 'crying at the sound of his children's voices' after starting to recognise faces one year on from skiing accident
The Formula One world champion (inset), who is making a 'long, slow
recovery' at his home in Switzerland after a skiing accident, apparently
cries when he hears a known sound, showing he is 'alive and
understands'. According to a report, Schumacher reacts to the voices of
his son Mick (pictured right), daughter Gina Maria and wife Corinna
(pictured left). The news comes one year after the tragic accident and
as his family prepare to mark his 46th birthday at their home in Gland,
Switzerland, where he has been recovering since June. According to an
Italian journalist who reported the progress, the fact Schumacher is
reacting with tears is 'valuable news', after a year of seeming 'really
far away'.
