Chelsea surrendered a 2-0 lead as they went down 4-2 at home to League One side Bradford City, with ex-Stamford Bridge man Filipe Morais scoring the equaliser before Andy Halliday grabbed the winner eight minutes from time and Mark Yeates capped off an astonishing win in stoppage time.
Meanwhile Manchester City lost 2-0 at home to Championship side Middlesbrough. Patrick Bamford, on loan from Chelsea scored the opening goal and Kike added a late second as a City side containing the likes of Sergio Aguero and David Silva drew a humiliating blank.
