Nigeria’s Missing $20bn Can Build 10 Burj Khalifa-Fashola

Governor Fashola while speaking at APC’s rally yesterday in Epe disclosed that the $20bn allegedly declared missing under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration can build 10 Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which is the tallest building in the world. Fashola made the mathematics clear, when he went ahead to break it down saying, the building was only built with $1.5bn, while a whole $20bn which can built 10 in Nigeria with some billion dollars still remaining has been declared missing and gone. He also emphasized how the building has attracted the world to Dubai, leaving us to imagine how Nigeria would have been if the money was utilized well. His words after the cut.

“Rather than develop strategies that would improve the economy, the current administration inflicted pains on the citizens.
“The Burj Khalifa building in Dubai was built with $1.5bn to arrest the attention of the world. This administration has lost $20bn. The money lost by the current administration could be used to build 10 of the structure, he said.
“We are the only oil producing country that is importing oil products. They spent over N2tn to import petrol,” Fashola emphasized.
