Indian father buried his ten-year-old daughter alive because he had always wanted a son and hated having a girl

Abul Hussein allegedly tried to bury his daughter, Ruskshena (left), in the backyard of his home in Putia village, in Tripura. Police found her with her hands tied and her mouth taped. When Ruskshena was buried up to her waist her mother returned home, so Hussein temporarily threw a bamboo drum over her head (right), intending to finish the job later.
