Document Reveals Real Reason Buhari Suspended Immigration Boss


Proof showing that the real reason the just suspended Immigration Boss, David Parradang was suspended by the president has hit the internet. According to the suspended letter, Parradang was sacked because he appointed 700 Assistant Inspectors of Immigration and 900 Immigration Assistants without the due process. He was also warned in two separate letters addressed to him, but little or nothing was done about it, hence his suspension. See the suspension letter below.

Man Who Raped 2-Year Old And Killed Her Great-Grandparents Jailed For 359 Years

A man who raped a two-year-old girl and murdered her great-grandparents has been jailed for 359 years. Remorseless Jerry Active, 26, continued to protest his innocence as he was sentenced for his sickening crimes.
The Alaska native bludgeoned Touch Chea, aged 71, and his 73-year-old wife Sorn Sreap to death at their Anchorage home in May 2013.
He also raped Sreap and the couple's two-year-old great-granddaughter in a random attack which police described as one of the "worst thing they had ever seen in their lives".

Sokoto State Governor To Give N1m To Cleanest Community During Sanitations

The Sokoto State Government has introduced a monthly incentive of one million naira to any district adjudged to be the cleanest in the state. Governor Aminu Tambuwal disclosed this yesterday at the flag-off of special environmental sanitation programme in Sokoto, saying the incentive is part of measures to enhance cleanliness and preservation of the environment.
He said the incentive is one in a series of efforts lined up by the government to protect the health of the people. Environmental sanitation will happen every Saturday in the State for the next one month, and continues every first Saturday of the month, soon as that ends.

Radio Biafra Is Back On Air

 
After struggling to jam the transmission signals of Radio Biafra, the Federal Government seems to have lost the battle as the station is back on air. The Federal Government had on July 14 announced that it jammed the transmission signals of the radio station, which was operating illegally from an unknown location.

The radio station however stopped broadcasting in July, but all indications showed yesterday that the radio was back on air, when it transmitted live yesterday on the same frequency it was before closing down in July.

I Don’t Have Foreign Bank Accounts - Amaechi

The immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi in a statement has said he does not own a bank account in Minnesota, USA and neither does he have one in Switzerland like reports have said. The former Governor said he had ignored the rumour before but he felt it was time for him to address it, as the report was nothing but only to smear his personality and his achievements.
“There is absolutely no truth in the fabricated story saying Amaechi has an account with a Bank in Minnesota, USA,” the statement said.
He also said reports that he lodged stolen funds in error at the Bancorp of Switzerland were “absolutely false.”

Brazilian radio DJ Gleydson Carvalho shot dead live on air

Nothing you will not hear. Brazilian radio DJ Gleydson Carvalho (pictured above) was gunned down in a studio as he broadcast live yesterday. Two gunman burst into Radio Liberdade FM in Camocin, in north east Brazil, overpowered a receptionist and an engineer and stormed into the studio where Gleydson was talking to his listeners and shot him five times, three times in the head and twice in the chest. The killers left in a motorbike.

An hour before he was killed, the DJ had been campaigning against corruption. He was known for his long-standing campaign against government corruption. He'd even received death threats while on air

Soldiers Kill Notorious Hippopotamus In Gombe Dam

A notorious hippopotamus accused of terrorising Yamaltu/Deba local government areas of Gombe State, and killing fishermen and farmers near the Dadin/Kowa dam, was shot dead by soldiers Wednesday, local officials said.

The animal killed many people in the last two years, the state government said.
Ismail Umar, who is the head of Forestry, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government, confirmed that the beast had been killed.

Deposed Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki, the father of Nigeria’s embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki, was on Thursday evening discharged from a hospital in the United Kingdom where he had spent two months at a cost of at least $4,000 per night. 

The hospital, the London Clinic, is the same facility where the Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuade Okunade, died late last month.  Nigeria’s former leader, Goodluck Jonathan, was also treated there for stomach ailment a couple of years ago.

The older Dasuki’s Sokoto home was searched by Nigeria’s security forces during his stay at the hospital as they looked for evidence of corruption against his son.

Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has taken desperate measures to cover traces of corruption and misappropriation of state funds during his tenure as the Governor of Nigeria's highest revenue received state, Akwa Ibom from 2007-2015, several reliable sources in Akwa Ibom State.
The sources revealed that as part of this scheme, Mr. Akpabio, has invaded government offices in the state including the Akwa Ibom State Government Office, the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and the Office of the State Accountant General. He allegedly carted away sensitive official government documents which may have given anti - graft agencies traces of billions of naira belonging to the state,  stolen while Akpabio was the Governor.

Pirates Killed Four Soldiers And One Policeman In Bayelsa River


                                                          

Sea Pirates have killed four military soldiers and a mobile policeman at a military base in the Nembe area of Bayelsa State.
Asinim Butswat, the Public Relations Officer for the Police in Bayelsa State, confirmed the incident to a SaharaReporters correspondent.

He described the commando-style incident as “four speedboats loaded with unknown gunmen, suspected to be sea pirates, attacked the Joint Task Force (JTF) Base at the Nembe waterfront, killing four soldiers and one policeman. The gunmen carted away two HP Guns and other arms from the base.”

Police Reopens Forgery Case Against APC Chairman, Oyegun, Others

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has reopened criminal investigation case on allegations of forgery against the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, and some leaders of the party in Delta State.
According to Premium Times, the renewed action of the IGP followed their report on forgery of official documents, which falsely declared Christopher Anirah dead in order to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) substitute him as the Sapele/Okpe/Uwvie Federal Constituency candidate of APC with Gibson Akporehe.

EFCC Interrogates NAFDAC Boss Over Alleged Abuse Of Office


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today invited the Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Paul Orhii, for interrogation over alleged abuse of office and contract scam.

Investigators at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission are currently questioning the director general of National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, Paul Orhi, over corruption allegations.
Mr. Orhi, a very reliable source told PREMIUM TIMES, was being grilled on allegations of contracts awarded by the DG.

EFCC Invites Judge Who Accused Aregbesola Of Fraud To Shed More Light On Accusation

There were indications in Osogbo on Sunday that Justice Folahanmi Oloyede, who recently accused Governor Rauf Aregbesola of graft, had been invited to the Abuja headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
A source close to the judge told journalists in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Sunday that the judge was contacted by an official of the EFCC, who asked her to come to the Abuja office of the commission to assist them in the investigation into the allegations.
Oloyede, a serving judge in the Osun State judiciary had recently petitioned the state House of Assembly, asking that impeachment proceedings be commenced against Aregbesola, who she also accused of being corrupt.

DPR Shuts 18 Pri0vate Petroleum Products Depots In Lagos, 5 In Other States

The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has shut 23 private petroleum products depots across the country for selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to marketers above ex-depot price of N77.66 per litre, a statement said.

The statement, issued by DPR Director, Mr Mordecai Ladan, in Abuja on Sunday, said that the shutting of the facilities took effect on Friday. It said the depots were mainly in Lagos except for two in Warri, Delta, and three in Calabar.

PDP Holds Meeting With Jonathan In Otuoke, Dickson, Alamieyeseigha, Walked Out

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) o Sunday held an emergency meeting at the country home of former President Goodluck Jonathan in Otuoke, Bayelsa State,  it wades into the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.
At the meeting, both the state governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson, and former governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, were ordered out of the venue by the party leadership.
At the meeting which looked into the recommendations of the National Peace Committee for the state, the acting Chairman of the party’s BoT, Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed, called on all feuding members and stakeholders of the party in the state to close ranks, while also upturning the decision of the state chapter of the party to expel some prominent members from the party.

Press Association Sport understands Di Maria is due to hold talks with PSG officials in Doha on Sunday and is expected to undergo a medical with the French champions.
If all goes to plan, he could sign for PSG as early as Monday.
United gave Di Maria permission to speak to PSG after agreeing a 63million euro (£44.3million) fee with the big-spending French club.

United signed Di Maria from Real Madrid for £59.7million last summer, but after an encouraging start his form dipped drastically and he only started one of the final 10 games of last season.
The former Real Madrid winger was left unsettled after an attempted burglary on his Cheshire home in February.

Delta Police Arrests Man Operating Baby-Production Factory, Rescues 8 Pregnant Girls

The Delta Police Command said on Saturday that it had discovery a “baby-production” factory in Asaba, arrested the operator, and rescued eight pregnant girls. Spokesperson of the command, DSP Celestina Kalu, said in a statement in Asaba that the baby-making factory was discovered after detectives, acting on a tip-off, swooped on the premises.
“On July 30, 2015, Police detectives from GRA Division Asaba, while acting on a tip-off, raided a suspected baby factory opposite the Federal Radio Corporation, Asaba, and arrested its operator, Mr. John Ihezun. Detectives also arrested two boys, one Prince Chukwu and Obum Nwankwo, in the premises of the baby factory,” Kalu said.
The command said it found eight pregnant girls (names with-held). It also said it had commenced investigations into the matter, saying that any person found to be involved, would be prosecuted.

Cameroon Deports 2000 Nigerians After Buhari’s visit

Two thousand Nigerians living in Cameroon without permits have been thrown out of the country. The Nigerians were arrested on Thursday in Kousseri, northern Cameroon and loaded into many trucks, then driven across the border into Nigeria.
The raid against Nigerians was carried out the same day President Muhammadu Buhari and Cameroon’s Paul Biya, pledged to work together to crush the six-year Boko Haram insurgency which has killed thousands, and spread to neighbouring countries.
A local administrator in Kousseri said the raid was part of measures aimed at improving security and controlling movements along the border region.

Six armed robbers, who specialised in raping and killing their victims were on Thursday arrested by the Oyo State Police Command in Ogbomoso after they were traced through a mobile telephone they stole from one of their victims.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Mohammed Katsina, said while parading the robbers that one of them died during a gun duel with the police while another was seriously injured.
Until their arrest, the robbers were said to be living in different cities and only came together when they wanted to go for operations. Katsina said investigation took his men to Ijebu-Ode, Ibadan, Ogbomoso and Oyo where the robbers were picked up.
