Spend, spend, spend! Euro sinks as Greece's new Far-Left leader agrees deal with right-wingers to reject EU's bailout demands

Supporters of anti-austerity party Syriza were jubilant this morning as - with 97 per cent of the votes counted - the radical leftist party Syriza was set to have 149 seats in parliament - just short of the 151 it needs to rule outright. Conservative Prime Minister Antonis Samaras phoned Syriza's 40-year-old leader Alexis Tsipras (right) - who looks set to become the youngest Greek premier in 150 years - to concede defeat as his party languished on 28 per cent of the vote to Syriza's 36 per cent. Mr Tsipras told a rally of roaring supporters: 'Our priority above all will be to restore the country's lost dignity. We regain hope, we regain smiles, optimism and dignity for our people.'
