Boko Haram’s Attempt To Bomb Kaduna Foiled

               
An attempt by suspected Boko Haram sect members to set off explosives was foiled today in Kaduna as some Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) planted at a strategic location were successfully detonated by the police anti-bomb squad.
The suspected sect, according to a security personnel, drove on bike and planted a polythene bag containing the explosives around Sultan Road by Sir Kashim Ibrahim in Kaduna GRA area.
The spokesman of police in the state, Aminu Lawan who confirmed the incident, said “we got distress call that a suspected polythene bag containing a questionable substance was dropped by an ‘Okada’ rider. We immediately deployed anti-bomb squad to the scene where it was found to be a high caliber bomb, which was promptly detonated.            
                                                                                                                      

"The area was immediately condoned off when it was discovered that the polythene bag contained high caliber IEDs, and our Anti-Bomb Squad were able to successfully detonate the IEDs and the situation was immediately brought under control.
