Premier League - Terry own goal hands Palace shock win over Chelsea.

Chelsea’s Premier League title hopes suffered a body blow after John Terry’s own goal handed Crystal Palace a shock 1-0 win at Selhurst Park
The Eagles, who were sprightly throughout, edged a lively first half that should have seen them awarded a penalty for Gary Cahill’s foul on Yannick Bolasie in the box. Chelsea’s only chance of note in the first half fell to Andre Schuerrle, who couldn’t convert Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross under pressure from Joel Ward
Palace’s moment came seven minutes into the second half when Ward’s cross was flicked over Petr Cech and into his own net by captain John Terry

Chelsea threw everything at Crystal Palace, but the home side were unlucky not to add to their lead when Jason Puncheon came a whisker away and Cameron Jerome hit the post
Ultimately, Chelsea lacked the guile to unlock a spirited Palace defence and while Palace celebrate a giant stride towards safety, Chelsea will be ruing a day when the title race swung in Manchester City and Liverpool’s favour                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            posted by Emanto Ngaloru  March 29, 2014.
