Madness! Police Corporal Kills Inspector, Alleged Girlfriend & Self Over Love

See the people they put in the police force oo. Someone that has no respect for his life, how can he have respect for other people’s lives?
An argument between a police corporal and his senior colleague, an inspector, over who actually owns a pretty female recharge card seller, ended in tragedy when the corporal corked his riffle, killed the card seller and the inspector, before killing himself.
The incident occurred yesterday evening in the Karu Town, near the CBN Junction, when the corporal, who claimed he was interested in the recharge card seller, simply known as Chidinma, saw the inspector and the recharge seller sitting together over some bottles of soft drinks.

According to an eye witness, the corporal alighted from a vehicle and accosted the inspector and the recharge card seller. While he accused the inspector of encroaching into his territory, he accused the lady of unfaithfulness, saying he had invested in the girl.

The inspector ,who regarded the corporal’s allegation as an affront, ordered him to leave the place immediately or get himself dealt with. The corporal was said to have been enraged and threatened that he was going to kill the recharge card seller so that none of them would have her.
The inspector did not take the threat lightly and warned the corporal not to do any thin stupid or he would have himself to blame. The corporal, still fuming with rage walked away from the inspector and the recharge card seller. Unknown to the inspector, the corporal corked his AK-47 rifle, walked to the duo lovebirds and killed the girl with one shot.
Before the inspector could cork his own riffle, the corporal also shot and killed him instantly. Looking bemused, the corporal aimed the riffle at his own head and killed himself with one bullet.
Pandemonium was said to have broken out in the town as residents and passers-by thronged the place to take a glimpse of the three slain persons lying in a pool of their blood. A team of police personnel later came and evacuated the bodies of the slain.

The recharge card seller was identified as a poor homeless girl who was taking refuge in a popular church in Karu Town before the incident.
Benue State government yesterday deposed the chairman of Gwer West Traditional Rulers Council, the Ter Tyoshin, His Royal Highness, Chief Ayua Abomtse.

The traditional ruler, according to sources, was deposed because of his favourable disposition towards the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in the just concluded general elections.
Before his deposition, Chief Abomtse was given matching orders to quit the government guest house he was occupying in Makurdi shortly after the April 11 governorship election.

The letter conveying Abomtse’s sack which was signed by the permanent secretary of the state Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Asen Sambe, on behalf of the special adviser to the governor in the bureau, Mr Solomon Wombo, stated that “the traditional ruler was deposed for gross misconduct and embarrassment to the Tiv traditional council.”

According to the letter entitled ‘Appointment of New Ter Nagi’ and addressed to Chief Edwin Nienge, stated thus: “Following the deposition of Ter Nagi 11, Chief Ayua D Abomtse by government over acts gross misconduct and embarrassment to the Tiv Area Traditional Council, I am directed to inform you that government has approved your appointment as acting Ter Nagi with immediate effect until a new substantive Ter Nagi is selected.”

In a swift reaction, Chief Abomtse said that his travail was as a result of the fact that he voted for Buhari and Ortom in the just concluded general elections.

“I was ejected from the guest house shortly after April 11 governorship election. I did not work for opposition I only voted Buhari and Ortom during the elections and my vote multiplied,” Abomtse maintained.

Meamwhile, youths in Gboko were said to have protested the move by the state government to appoint some persons as first class chiefs in Tivland.

The youths who carried placards reading “Suswam don’t create problem for Ortom”, “what we want is payment of workers’ salaries not imposition of first class chiefs”, among others also bemoaned the sack of Abomtse.
