A source in the village told Saharareporters that the sect returned to the village last night and killed some people who are mostly elderly and burnt many houses with impunity.
The source said there were no military personnel when the sect got into the town chanting war songs and shooting helpless villagers, while youths and some women fled through bush path in the night.
The source added that thousands of the villagers are presently taking refuge in Gulak local government area of Adamawa state.
There is no official reaction from the military regarding the latest Saturday night attack.
According to SR, A newspaper report today in Nigeria had suggested that President Jonathan is considering appointing a military administrator for Borno State.
