The discovery was made at Oakdene, Barconey, Ballyjamesduff, Co
Cavan, inset, on Monday. Investigators said they found the bodies of a
man in his 40s, Alan Hawe, his wife - Clodagh - and their three sons
aged Liam, 13, Niall, 11 and six-year-old Ryan. Police are probing the
theory that Mr Hawe, a school teacher, killed his wife before stabbing
his sons to death and then turning the knife on himself. A Garda
spokesman said: 'The investigation is ongoing but at this stage we are
not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths.' Pictured are the
coffins of one of the victims being loaded into a hearse.
