Father Whose Son Commited Suicide Over Bullying Breaks Down In Tears In New Video

The father of a teenager who left a heartbreaking note telling of his suffering at the hands of bullies before he killed himself has posted a heartbreaking video online.

Danny Fitzpatrick told how his friends had turned on him and his school life had become a nightmare of bullying and violence. The 13-year-old penned the note before he was found dead on Thursday.

Danny, who was a pupil at Holy Angels Catholic School in Brooklyn, New York, went on to claim that although he raised the alarm with teachers, nothing was done to help.

In a grief-fulled video, Danny's Father who is also named Daniel breaks down in tears as he tells of his grief and hits out at the "monsters" who tormented his son.

In the clip he says: “My son’s stories are out there for the world to see, and for the world to know the pain that he went through."

He goes on to day: “I miss my son very much. No parent should have to bury their child. No child should have to go through what my son went through.”

In it he claims he had also approached the school to help Danny, who “didn’t have a mean bone in his body”.

The 45-year-old continues: “He and I went to the school, we went to the principal. All I got was, and all he got was, ‘He’ll be fine. Is he in counseling? You have to try harder, Danny. These things will pass. Children can be such horrible creatures.’

"They ain’t creatures — they’re monsters. Disgusting little monsters.

“To the parents of the boys that tormented my son: All I have to say is I hope you never, never have to feel what my family is going through right now.

“You get to hold your children every night and day for the rest of your lives and their natural lives. I don’t get that anymore. "Your little monsters took that from me and my wife and his sisters.

"But it ain’t right. It ain’t right at all. These people have feelings. Because they’re different from you, that gives you the right? You’re not cool. You’re disgusting.”

The Fitzgerald family are planning a funeral service for their son on Monday.
