EasyJet said the pair had behaved in a "disruptive manner" on the flight from Belfast to Barcelona and a fellow passenger claimed one had joked about being a bomber as she went to use the toilet.
A witness said one of the women had told cabin crew: "We are all here for a f****** party" after being asked to stop playing music from a speaker.
The women, part of a birthday group of 14, were refused alcohol, causing them to become even more agitated, the witness claimed. One is then said to have joked: "I'm a suicide bomber, sure I am," according to the Belfast Telegraph .
But an irate third woman, apparently part of the birthday group, can be heard directing a stream of angry comments towards a flight attendant as Spanish Guardia Civil police board the plane in the Catalan capital.
Much to the chagrin of a friend, who tries to shush her, she says: "That there's unreal. There's no call for this. It's ridiculous. She didn't annoy anybody. She needs to get a life, that air hostess. You change your job, darling!"
An EasyJet spokesman said: "EasyJet can confirm that flight EZY6671 from Belfast to Barcelona was met by police on arrival in Barcelona due to two passengers on board behaving in a disruptive manner.
"Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour on board.
"EasyJet’s cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time."
