Tony Blair spun us into a completely unnecessary war which cost the lives of 179 British servicemen and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, many of them innocent civilians, writes PIERS MORGAN. There can be no more serious 'mistake' for a Prime Minister to make. The Iraq War was the wrong thing to do, and probably illegal. Blair (pictured right in Iraq in 2003) thus has all the blood on his hands of those who died, and no amount of further eloquent spinning now by him and his loyal defenders can deny that fact.
