Farewell to a little hero: Cancer-stricken five-year-old who became an internet star after his father pretended to be Spiderman dies in his sleep on Christmas Eve

Jayden Wilson died at home in Basingtstoke, Hampshire, on Christmas Eve with his parents and sister nearby. The five-year-old had been battling a brain tumour for more than a year. Last month he became an internet star when his father Mike shared a video online of himself dressing up as Spiderman to surprise his son on his fifth birthday (left). Yesterday his parents paid tribute to the child they described as 'the most inspiring person ever'.
