Usher plays the snake charmer as he gets close to a Cobra.

                           He's a charmer: Usher had a front seat to watch a snake charmer and a cobra                     It certainly beats the typical celebrity New Year's selfie on a sandy white beach.
Instead of sunbathing, Usher got up close and personal with a cobra as he shared snaps on New Year's Day from his travels in Morocco.

The 35-year-old singer skipped the typical celebrity beach destination this holiday season and opted for an exotic break in North Africa.

                     Charming montage: Usher posted a three-pack of photos showing a snake charmer at work and wearing a crazy hat                           He posted a close-up photo of a cobra with its hood expanded as he knelt right behind it on the streets of Marrakesh.
The music man then went shopping, putting on a banana-coloured necklace that stretched to his waist inside a shop and struck a pose.
'I'm different, yeah I'm different........3 Chains,' he wrote in the caption for his more than 1.2 million followers on Instagram.
The Nice & Slow singer also shared photos from his New Year's Eve celebration.
