A 23-year-old bride has become the youngest married lesbian after tying the knot with her fiancée on the first day of legalised gay marriage.

Sarah-Louise Billington exchanged vows with Rebecca Green, 31, in a ceremony at Dudley Register Office this morning.

Both wore white wedding gowns to mark the occasion just hours after the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act came into effect.

The recent meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, almost turned violent following the threat by a former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff to beat up a national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.
Mr. Sheriff exploded midway into the meeting, raining abuses on Mr. Tinubu and threatening to slap the former Lagos State governor.

Even after having an accident on Third Mainland Bridge that left a scar on his hand, famous OAP, YAW has said he is willing to get another bike, and the accident will not in any way stop him from enjoying his bike. He says before Yeni Kuti’s ex-husband died, he showed him his power bike and he told him, he will be getting a similar one. He spoke to a Punch reporter, where he expressed his love for bikes. Femi Segun, a polyglot, former diplomat, compere, television presenter and a church deacon, born in May 1958, who died on March 21, 2014 a week after he had an accident on his power bike has been buried.  He was buried at the Vaults and Garden, Ikoyi yesterday after a service of songs was held for him at House on the Rock Church, Lekki, presided by the church’s general Overseer, Pastor Paul Adefarasin.
