Stephen Belafonte Claims He's Been Set Up After Mel B Accuses Him Of Violence & Forcing Her To Have Threesomes

Mel B has taken out a restraining order against her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte after accusing him of physically abusing her and forcing her to have threesomes. The 41-year-old former Spice Girl’s explosive claims came in a document filed at the Superior Court Of Los Angeles, in a hearing on Monday at 8:30am local time.

Today Belafonte claimed he had been set up and was being made to look like ‘the bad guy’ in a increasingly bitter split when he spoke to a reporter for TMZ who asked him to respond to the document filed by Mel.

Among the claims apparently made by Mel's legal team are that he pushed her to the floor and choked her on the night of her Dancing With The Stars finale in November 2007, and that he split her lip by punching her while she was filming a segment with Usher for The X Factor in 2012
.

When she asked her husband how she was supposed to film with the injury, he allegedly told her that she should have considered that before deciding to "flirt with and f*** Usher."

But when TMZ confronted Stephen to ask him about the allegations, he replied: "Usher's not on X Factor , so how's that possible?"

According to the website, the document also states the he forced her to take part in threesomes, stating: "He forced her to 'participate in sexual intercourse with him and random women' and he would often secretly record the encounters. She says when she tried to resist the 3-ways, he'd threaten to release the sex tapes."

It is also reported that there is a reference to an incident in 2014, which saw Mel overcome with "emotional and physical exhaustion" that allegedly led to her taking an "entire bottle of Aspirin".

Another claim that Mel has reportedly made in the court document is that Stephen had a gun at home – which would be illegal given his previous conviction for domestic violence against another woman.

However, a raid of his home last Friday by officers from Dept. of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms found no firearm there.
Responding to the allegations regarding threesomes and fire arms, Stephen told a reporter for TMZ: "Because that's the mother of my children, I'm really distraught… about how this will affect our children in the depths that she's gone to. That's it. I'm shocked at those allegations and that's what it is."

"I think someone's setting me up to look like a bad guy. Obviously you saw my house got raided and no-one found anything. It's accusation after accusation. But we'll have our day in court."
