Lewandowski penalty that effectively ended this tie in the 54th minute
and it was not the dismissal of Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny that
preceded it. No, it was the moment prior to that when Olivier Giroud had
the chance to head his team in to a two-goal lead on the night and
within dreaming distance of their opponents. It was a free header six
yards out. But Giroud fluffed it by heading over.
