Atleast 17 people have been confirmed dead, while 73 sustained
injuries this afternoon as a young suicide bomber detonated a bomb during the
launch of a Friday mosque near old hajj camp in Jambutu in Yola, the Adamawa
state capital.
17 people died on the spot while several others said to be
73 in number have been rushed to various hospitals. Eyewitnesses say the
explosion occurred around 1.40pm this afternoon.
