U.S. fisherman finds baby alive beside her dead mother in semi-submerged wreck of car that had crashed 13 hours before

The mother was identified Sunday as Springville, Utah resident Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck. Her baby is in stable but critical condition at Primary Children's Hospital. Police say Ms Groesbeck was driving back from her parents house Friday night when she veered off the road, hit an embankment and ended in the river. A neighbor in the area reported hearing a loud noise near the bridge that night around 11pm, but couldn't locate the cause of the sound. A fisherman found the crashed car in the river Saturday afternoon, about 13 hours after the accident is believed to have happened. Ms Groesbeck was found dead but her 18-month-old daughter was alive in the back seat.
