Newly sworn-in Governor of Ekiti
State who has been criticised for making provision for stomach infrastructure
immediately he got into office has explained why he actually created an office
for it.
Fayose while speaking at the PDP
national secretariat yesterday, when he accompanied President Goodluck Jonathan
to pick his presidential forms said, even Britain does it. His words;
If you look at Britain, as rich
and as comfortable as they are, in the entire time, they find their way to
address the issue of the poor and less privileged masses in their country by
what they call social security. Food is a social security, you can’t be talking
to a hungry man, he would be distracted by any means. Secondly, when we say
stomach infrastructure, it is a welfare programme, a programme that would keep
the heart of a man stable.”
