Champions League - Ancelotti confirms Ronaldo, Bale are fully fit for final.

Ronaldo pulled out of Madrid's final game of the season with Espanyol during the warm-up. With no chance of winning the league following a 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo during the previous week, it was cited as a precautionary measure, and Ancelotti has since confirmed that the Portuguese forward, along with Bale, will be fit for the Champions League final in Lisbon.

"Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo will play and that's the most important thing," Ancelotti said in Tuesday press conference.

Ronaldo sat out Tuesday's training session in favour of completing an individual workout with the club's physiotherapist but confirmed he would not be hampered in any way for the final.

"I will be 100% fit for the final. The Décima is the trophy every Madridista wants to win," he said.

"It is my first day out on the pitch and I feel ok and happy. Playing during the week and weekends means it is normal that the body has a negative response.

"Unfortunately I have had a few problems but if you look around Europe the same thing is happening and players are getting injured.

"Nobody wants to miss a final, a final we have been aiming for and it is obviously important. If the body can't do it then it is not the end of the world but I will be there, I am confident."

Ancelotti also praised Bale for his contribution this season.

"Bale's had a good season despite the problems he had in the beginning. He has had a big impact. He has helped us a lot this season. He is in an excellent physical shape"

Ancelotti did however say that Pepe and Karim Benezema were still doubtful for the clash but that Sami Khedira was available for selection.

"We must be realistic - at this moment (Pepe and Benzema) can't play. We have four days, we will take the decision at the end.

"I am not optimistic or pessimistic. Right now they wouldn't be able to play but we are not taking the decision now. If Pepe isn't ready then Varane would take his place."

"Even if (Benzema) has not trained for these days, if there is no risk of injury, he will play.

"Khedira has not played many games, that’s only problem he has. He has no problems with his knee, he is ready to play."
