3 kids burnt to death in fire incident in Warri.

3 kids burnt to death in fire incident in Warri                       Three persons died and several others wounded in a midnight fire incident which occurred on Monday night at Ovwian Community in Delta State. Daily Sun gathered that the incident, described as first of its kind in recent times was caused by a generating set that caught fire inside the apartment where three kids were sleeping.

Sources however, told Daily Sun that the raging inferno swept across the building and spread  to neighbouring houses before it was put off by fire fighters.

Eyewitness, who spoke with Daily Sun amid tears, said the fire caught them unaware in the midnight and devastated the building described as the biggest building in the community.
“Most of us ran out of the house to save our lives but it was impossible for us to salvage any of our belongings.
“It was also impossible for us to save the three kids who were sleeping in one of the apartments,” said one of the tenants, who was only wearing a shirt and trouser he could salvage.
Worse still, the source further said that hoodlums carted away a few property some of the tenants could salvage, even as most of them who sustained injury during the fire were unable to go to the hospital for medical treatment.
It was an eyesore when the remains of the victims were removed from the rubbles, just as the mother of two of the victims ran amuck on sighting the charred bodies of her children.                                                                                                                                                                                                source THE SUN.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      posted by Emanto Ngaloru  Jan 1, 2014.
