Man Stripped Unclad For Snatching Woman’s Bag In Abuja (pic)

 

A man identified only as Daniel, was yesterday beaten to stupor and stripped Unclad by angry mob in the Gwagwalada area of Abuja for snatching a handbag belonging to an unidentified woman.

According to Daily Trust, the incident happened in the morning at the SDP Junction in the area.

An eyewitness said the man trailed the innocent woman who carried a baby on her back on a motorcycle after she left a bank in the area.
According to the report, the man snatched the woman’s handbag immediately she alighted from a motorcycle and started running away.

Palo Alto REJECTS Mark Zuckerberg's bid to demolish neighboring homes and create a family compound after he spent $30m on properties next to his house

Mark Zuckerberg's plans to demolish and rebuild four homes neighboring his primary Palo Alto residence have been rejected by an architectural review board. On Thursday, the board decided the Facebook founder's plans will form a giant 'compound' and reduce the city's housing stock, violating zoning codes and ideal land use. Three years ago, the 32-year-old billionaire spent $30million snatching up the four properties in an attempt to maintain his privacy after a local real estate

developer announced plans to build a home with direct views into Zuckerberg's bedroom. According to application materials filed with city planners in May, Zuckerberg's plans include tearing down the four homes surrounding his house and rebuilding them as smaller single-family homes that will take up 20 per cent of the current footprint, without a clear view into his home. The two single-story and two two-story homes would be replaced by three single-story houses and one two-story house.

Zuckerberg's plans to keep the four homes as part of a larger compound where family and friends could stay is what the board took issue with, saying it would ruin the single-family home feel of the Crescent Park neighborhood.

A distraught wife in India will be scarred for life after her husband of eight years allegedly cut off her nose because her family couldn’t afford a marriage dowry.

Kamlesh Rathore, 25, from Shahjahanpur, in Uttar Pradesh, northern India, said her husband, Sanjeev Rathore, 27, had been demanding a dowry of Rs 50,000 (£550) ever since they got married.

A dowry is part of Indian custom and is either cash, jewellery or land that the bride's family gives to the groom as a condition of any marriage.

Kamlesh said: ‘He harassed me every day for the dowry. He was constantly demanding Rs 50,000.
I repeatedly told him that my father is very poor and he cannot afford such an amount but he did not listen and used to threaten that he’ll chop off my nose. He has beaten me for years. He’s used belts, slippers, sticks and has always tortured me. He used to accuse me of working as a prostitute and threaten to sell me. He was always drunk. During our eight years of marriage he was very harsh with me,’ she said.

Bobby Brown is "pleased" that Nick Gordon has been found "legally responsible" for the death of his daughter.

Bobbi Kristina Brown tragically passed away in July 2015, six months after she was found unresponsive in a bath tub and her father is glad to have some answers after a judge found her former fiancé legally responsible for her death.

He told People magazine in a statement: "I am pleased with the outcome
of today's court proceedings.

"All I ever wanted was answers relating to who and what caused my daughter's death. Today's judgment tells me it was Nick Gordon. Now I need to process all the emotions I have and lean on God to get me and my family through this."

The decision by the judge was made after Nick failed to show at two civil wrongful death hearings.

Chibok Girls: We have Negotiated Thrice With Boko Haram, Says FG

The Federal Government Friday admitted that it has negotiated thrice with Boko Haram on how to swap the abducted 215 Chibok girls with some commanders of the insurgents.

The three negotiations were approved by President Muhammadu Buhari between July and December 2015. The government however said the talks broke down because of cracks within Boko Haram and some difficult demands made by the sect.
He said the demands of Boko Haram included the release of their fighters arrested, especially some involved in major terrorist actions, resulting in several fatalities, and others who were experts in manufacture of locally assembled explosives.

Police Launch Manhunt For Suspects Who Raped 23-Year Old Lady In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the suspects who allegedly forced a 23-year-old lady, Judith (not real name), to smoke Indian hemp before taking turns to rape her at 106, Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, around Pako Bus Stop, Lagos.

Saturday Punch learnt that the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, requested a comprehensive report from the Isokoko Police Division, Agege, Lagos, after last week’s publication.

Breaking! Patience Jonathan's $15m: Companies Plead Guilty To Laundering

The four companies charged alongside a former Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to ex-President Jonathan, Waripamo Dudafa, and two others with money laundering have pleaded guilty to the offence, The Punch is reporting.

The four companies pleaded guilty to conspiring with Dudafa and the two others to launder a sum of  $15, 591,700 before a Federal High Court in Lagos today.

The companies are Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited; Seagate Property Development & Investment Co. Limited; Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited and Development Company Limited and Avalon Global Property Development Company Limited.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had since frozen the $15.6m found in the four companies’ accounts in Skye Bank. But wife of ex-President Jonathan, Patience, has sued the EFCC and Skye Bank, laying claims to the money.

Teacher Hangs Self After Man Ends Their 2-Year Relationship

A teacher has hanged herself after being dumped by her boyfriend, an inquest has heard. The family of Katie Humpage, 32, also detailed how they tragically discovered her body at her Walsall home in the West Midlands on July 26.

Black Country Coroner Zafar Saddique today recorded a verdict of a suicide over the death of the popular teacher.

Ms Humpage taught English at South Wolverhampton and Bilston Academy, where she met her partner Joe Clarke. The inquest at Black Country Coroners Court heard Ms Humpage initially took a overdose in June after Mr Clarke broke up with her after two years together.
