Police Officer Who Allegedly Killed Woman In Anambra Is Striped & Beaten [Photos]

A trigger happy policeman was stripped and beaten for allegedly killing a woman at the Oba International market in Anambra State. The officer would have been killed but for his colleagues who were fast to come to his rescue.

Buhari Didnt Give Me N2m- Small Doctor

Nigerian singer, Small Doctor has denied receiving N2m 'thanks for coming money' from President Buhari. Some entertainers were invited during the ramadan to have dinner with the President and he was included, You will recall that Deji Adeyanju had said on twitter that some entertainers were invited to meet the President nd ere given N2m each. Speaking to Sunday Scoops however, Small Doctor said;

“I am not aware that the President gave anyone N2m. I was only invited to Aso Rock during the Ramadan period, which I honoured. Have you asked Sound Sultan or Kunle Afolayan and they said Buhari gave us N2m each. Well, I don’t know if they gave anyone but I didn’t collect such money.”

According to him, it was like a dream come true for him to dine with the number one citizen of Nigeria. He added, “I have always worked hard and my hard work is paying off. I felt humbled and privileged meeting Mr. President. Looking at where I used to be, there has been a major turnaround in my life. Do you remember I was once a bus conductor?”

'Herdsmen' Attack Plateau Villages, Many Feared Dead

The Police Command in Plateau has confirmed the killing of 11 persons in attacks on Razat, Ruku, Nyarr, Kura and Gana-Ropp villages of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government.

Also hit were Daffo and Kuba communities in Bokkos Local Government.

Mr Terna Tyopev, the command’s spokesman, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Jos that many other villages were hit by the gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.

“The gunmen invaded the villages on Saturday and killed several people. Based on the number of corpses recovered and buried, we can confirm 11 killed,” he said.

He said, however, that more people might have died because many families had buried their dead relatives before the Policemen arrived,” he said.

Gory Photos: Woman Gets Eyeliner Pencil Lodged In Her Eye As She Does Her Makeup In A Taxi

Girls learn… It turns out doing makeup in the car is now a no no. This is the moment a woman was left with an eyeliner pencil lodged in her eye after the taxi she was travelling in slammed into a truck while she was putting on her make-up.

The passenger, in her 20s, was sitting in the back of the cab in a slow-moving traffic jam in Bangkok, Thailand, and applying eyeliner on the way to see her friends.

But the cab driver then crashed into a pick-up truck in front – jolting the woman forward. She hit the seat in front, accidentally thrusting the pencil into her left eye.

Incredibly, the stick missed the vital parts of her eye and her sight will be unaffected, according to medics who treated her.

Nigerian In Chicago Shoots Wife, Daughter & Self

A Nigerian pharmacist in Chicago has shot his Cameroonian wife simply named as Metta, their 8-year old daughter before turning the gun at himself.

This happened on the 10th of June,2018. The 8 year old died in the arms of their older son, a 13-year old boy who heard gun shots and wanted to call his mom’a attention to it, not knowing it was his dad firing the shots. He saw his mom in a pool of her own blood and so was his 8-year old sister.

He  hurriedly carried her and cried for help, but sadly, he lost her.

There’s also another child of theirs, a 4-year old girl who escaped the shooting. The wife's parents have been named Mr & Mrs Mudoh from Guzang.

Trial Of Dutchman Who Murdered Wife Begins Oct 8th

The trial of Dutchman, Peter Nielson, who allegedly murdered his wife and daughter was on Wednesday scheduled for October 8.

He faces two counts of murder. At his court appearance on Wednesday at Lagos High Court sitting at Igbosere, Adeniji Kazeem, the Lagos State Prosecutor who is also the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 5, 2018.

The defendant was alleged to have killed his wife, Zainab Nielson, and his daughter, Petra Nielson, at their residence, Flat 17, Bella Vista Tower, Banana Island, Eti -Osa local Government of Lagos State, at about 3:45 am.

Money Laundering: Court Finds Ex-Plateau Governor, Dariye Guilty

The FCT High Court sitting in Gudu, Abuja has found the former Plateau State Governor, Joshua Dariye guilty on 15 count charge of corruption.

Mr. Dariye was on Tuesday found guilty on a 6 count charge on the allegation of unlawful transferring of funds to the sum of 1.126bn ecological needs of the state to the Peoples Democratic Party, in the southwest.

The ruling judge, Justice Adebukola Banjoko also found the former governor guilty in 1, 2 and 7 count charge of other related offences of dishonesty.

Reggae Legend Ras Kimono Dies At 60

Reggae legend, Ras Kimono is dead.The singer died today at a Lagos hospital. Ras kimono dominated the Nigerian music industry in the late 80’s after his debut album titled “Under pressure” brought him to limelight.

His friends who are also prominent Nigerians, Dino Melaye and Ben Murray Bruce have taken to social media to mourn him, as Nigerians both home and abroad have been paying him tributes. May his soul rest in peace. He was 60.

Lagos, Ondo, Ogun, Declare June 12 Public Holiday

The governments of the South-west states have declared June 12 as a public holiday to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the annulled 1993 Presidential election adjudged to have been won by the late M.K.O Abiola.

The states include Lagos, Ondo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, and Oyo states.

The federal government on Wednesday announced that June 12 would become a national holiday for the celebration of democracy day starting from 2019, although the day had always been public holidays in the South west.

In Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, the governor, said the recent decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to declare June 12 as the new democracy day would ensure that Mr Abiola and other martyrs of democracy who laid down their lives in the struggle to entrench good governance did not do so in vain.
