BBC mocks former breakfast show host Susanna Reid for underwear-flashing sofa moment in new spoof show

Susanna Reid caused a storm last year when she accidentally flashed her underwear twice on BBC TV within three months.
Now, soon after news that the 43-year-old presenter had defected to ITV in a £1million-a-year move, a character very similar to her has cropped up in a new spoof BBC documentary called W1A.
An egotistical character who believes she has a supermodel’s appearance, wears similar clothes to Reid and flashes her knickers is on the show - but the BBC said any similarity was only 'coincidental'.

A source told the Daily Star: ‘She isn’t going to like this, but she will just have to take it on the chin.’
W1A, which stars Hugh Bonneville, is a new BBC comedy from the makers of Twenty Twelve, which looks at what life might be like inside the Corporation.
Reid accidentally flashed her underwear to BBC viewers last December as she wore a very short dress while presenting, when simultaneously crossing her legs and attempting to pull down her dress.
That came three months after a similar embarrassing wardrobe malfunction last September when the mother-of-three's short dress revealed black and white striped knickers.
After becoming a major star on reality TV show Strictly Come Dancing, Miss Reid accepted ITV’s £1million-a-year-offer to present the channel’s revamped breakfast show Good Morning Britain.
She said on Twitter earlier this month that she ‘couldn't turn down this opportunity and a new challenge’ - and had ‘loved being at BBC Breakfast and will miss the team’.
