Hoodlums Descend On Government Officials After Pregnant Woman, 6 Others Were Roasted To Death

Seven people, including a pregnant woman and a baby, were, weekend roasted to death, while five officials of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency TRACE, and an unspecified number of traffic police were injured by hoodlums at Kara, along Lagos/Ibadan expressway.

The accident, which involved an 18-seat bus, occurred at about 3.30pm as the vehicle, which took off in Lagos reportedly went up flames.
Vanguard gathered that the commercial bus painted in white colour, with blue stripes suddenly developed leakages on the fuel tank, which spilled its contents.

A woman from Delta State (names withheld by us) who was kid­napped nine years ago by her lov­er has miraculously regained her freedom.

The woman who lived in the Ikotun Egbe area of Lagos stepped out of her lover’s house with her four children for the first time in nine years. The woman said to be a grad­uate and speaks fluent English narrated her ordeal to the people in the area who gathered around to have a glim of her.

Sunday Sun was told by eye witnesses that the woman’s lover who hails from Ekiti State loved her so much and wanted to marry her but because her family was against the relationship, he decided to kidnap her for keeps, to keep her away from her parents. 30 Adolescents Abducted By Boko Haram Sect In Maiduguri

Around 30 adolescents, some of them girls aged as young as 11, have been abducted in northeast Nigeria over the weekend by suspected Boko Haram rebels, a local village chief told reporters according to Vanguard Newspaper.

“The insurgents… grabbed young people, boys and girls, from our region,” said Alhaji Shettima Maina, who is in charge of the Mafa village around 50 kilometres (30 miles) east of the city of Maiduguri.

“They took all boys aged 13 and over… and all girls aged 11 and more. According to our information, 30 young people were abducted in the last two days.”
